This sock slips over the main drive wheel and provides a softer connection between the drive wheel and the motor spindle.
The original rubber gets very hard over time causing the machine to become very noisy and have an intermittent drive. Once this sock is installed, the machine will transport like normal and the noise from the hard rubber on the drive wheel is eliminated.
